UAE's Humanitarian Aid Efforts Shine with Delivery of 30 Tonnes of Medical Supplies to Sudan

The UAE's commitment to humanitarian aid has been on full display with the recent delivery of 30 tonnes of medical supplies to Sudan. Working in partnership with the World Health Organization, the UAE has sent a plane carrying essential drugs, supplies for injury treatment, and emergency surgeries to the Port Sudan Airport.

This delivery is particularly significant given the current situation in Sudan. The country is facing an escalating conflict that has left many injured and in need of medical attention. Prior to this delivery, WHO had already distributed supplies to health facilities in the country, but they were quickly exhausted due to the sheer number of injured.

The UAE's relief efforts reflect the country's deep commitment to promoting peace, security, and stability, both regionally and worldwide. As Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, notes, the UAE is particularly focused on providing aid and assistance to the most vulnerable groups affected by the situation in Sudan, such as women, children, and the elderly.

This latest delivery of medical supplies underscores the UAE's dedication to human fraternity and its commitment to assisting others during crises and emergency situations.   Ahmed can play pieces by Beethoven, Mozart and Bach, and composes his own music. His mother, Eiman Al Aleel that in 2012 doctors said Ahmed, who was then a year and eight months old, had autism. “We took him to many  after he stopped talking or making eye contact,” said Ms Aleeli.  “I am blessed with a loving husband. He is a dedicated father and family man who is taking care of all the needs of our other three children since I am giving 90 per cent of my time to Ahmed,” she said.
