UAE private sector workforce rises by a third in 2023
The private sector workforce of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has increased by a third in 2023, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Approximately 68,000 Emiratis are now employed in the private sector of the UAE. The workforce has increased by more than a third so far this year. The data from the UAE ’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation revealed that over 17,000 citizens joined private companies in the country so far this year. According to The National, the UAE aims to boost local employment in the private sector. The Emiratisation drive attracted a huge number of employees in the private sector. On Saturday, the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation revealed that around 67,988 employees were working in the private sector of the country as of May 17.
