COP28: UAE hosts Green Retreat to set out climate goals
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country in the Middle East, hosted a Green Retreat to set out the climate change goals of the country ahead of COP 28, also known as the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or the 28th session of Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC. Reportedly, over 150 ministers from federal and local government and senior officials from the public and private sectors participated in Green Retreat. The event took place at Expo City Dubai, which is also set to host the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference from November 30 to December 12.
