How is the UAE helping Sudan amid the conflict?
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent a further three planes, carrying 116 tonnes of medical and food aid to Sudan in order to help people impacted by the conflict between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces. The UAE was one of the first countries to help the Sudanese people when the conflict between the two Sudanese rivals hit the country. The UAE also carried out the evacuation process in Sudan. The UAE evacuated 178 people from Sudan on Sunday. A Sudanese child who was injured because of the conflict also arrived in the UAE. He was taken to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, the Capital of the UAE. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation carried out the evacuation process, highlighting the UAE’s humanitarian efforts and commitment to helping countries in need.
