  His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the vice president, prime minister, and minister of defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as the Ruler of Dubai, has lauded the UAE’s tourism sector. On a visit to the 30th annual Arabian Travel Market on Monday, he lauded the post-pandemic revival of the tourism sector of the UAE. He also highlighted the tourism goals of the UAE. He said that the UAE would attract 40 million hotel guests by 2031. He further set out the UAE's plans to establish the “best and most active economy in the world.” He noted that the UAE had witnessed a 70 per cent increase in tourism spending in 2022. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid wrote on Twitter, “Global tourism has rebounded after three years of decline. On Wednesday, the UAE Prime Minister said that the UAE would try to land a rover on the Moon again. Dubai’s ruler said that his country would embark on a second attempt to land a rover on the Moon. His comments came after his rover crashed during the first attempted lunar landing on Tuesday. The UAE leader visited the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) on Wednesday.   His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the vice president, prime minister, and minister of defence of the United Arab Emirates as well as the current ruler of Dubai, met Klaus Werner Iohannis, the President of Romania, on Tuesday.  The two leaders held talks. They discussed various opportunities to expand ties between the UAE and Romania. They agreed to expand ties between the two countries across trade, the economy, renewable energy, sustainability and food security. During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed regional and international issues. The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Reem Al Hashimy, the Minister of State for International Co-operation.
