How to register for the Haj in the UAE and how much it costs
The United Arab Emirates ( UAE ) authorities have announced that residents can perform Haj this year by registering on the digital platform of the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf) from February 13 to March 10. The pilgrims must click on the ‘Haj registration’ tab to register themselves for Haj. They have to enter their Emirates ID and mobile phone numbers. The Haj operators have urged the people to register within this month as the quota is limited. Reportedly, the Haj operators have to distribute seats within the limited number of available quotas given to them from each country of ex-pats. The UAE residents will be required to obtain a Haj visa issued by the Saudi Arabian government in order to perform Haj this year. To obtain a Haj Visa, the UAE resident should carry a valid passport, a recent photo, proof of vaccination against meningococcal disease, and proof of funds to cover living expenses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
