Why is Elon Musk apologizing to Twitter users?

  Elon Musk , the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX; CEO of Tesla, Inc.; owner of Twitter.; founder of the Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI, has apologized to Twitter users. On Sunday, Musk took to Twitter to apologize to users who complained of the app taking up extra space on their phones. He shared a screenshot of the mobile screen to highlight that Twitter takes 9.52GB of space. Sharing the image, he wrote on Twitter, “Sorry this app takes up so much space.” Musk also highlighted that WhatsApp and Discord took 1.31GB and 2.01GB of space, respectively. The post received 75 million views. A Twitter user commented, "Yeah, good joke. A bunch of people are losing their accounts and all the fo­­­llowers that they earned, but a good joke." SpaceX Starship dramatically explodes seconds after launch

  SpaceX has launched Starship. The next-gen rocket successfully left its launchpad in Texas on Thursday, but the booster and the spacecraft failed to separate as planned. Consequently, roughly four minutes after lift-off, the two pieces disappeared in a fireball over the ocean. The Starship spacecraft a nd Super Heavy booster, collectively called Starship is the biggest and most powerful rocket ever made. In comparison to the Saturn V rocket that carried humans to the lunar surface, the SpaceX rocket packs twice the thrust. Despite the explosion, Starship's blast-off already meant the test flight was considered a success by the company. Elon Musk sells $3.6B worth of shares in Tesla

  Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and Twitter, has sold another 22 million shares of Tesla, worth around $3.6 billion, according to a filing with the United States (US) financial regulator. The Tesla shares were sold on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Over the past year, Musk sold almost $40 billion of Tesla shares. After Musk’s Twitter takeover in October 2022, he told Twitter employees that he sold Tesla shares to “save” their business. Musk sold parts of his sizable holdings in Tesla after he agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion. After the Twitter takeover, Musk also appointed himself CEO of the social media company. Billionaire Elon Musk plans to fire nearly 75% of Twitter employees, according to a Washington Post report. He told prospective investors in his deal to buy Twitter Inc that he planned to get rid of those employees. According to the report, job cuts are expected in the coming months, no matter who owns the social media company. Human resources staff at Twitter have reportedly told employees that they were not planning for mass layoffs. Earlier this year, Musk made a bid to buy the social media company for $44 billion. However, he tried to walk away from the deal in May alleging that the social media company understated the number of bot and spam accounts on the micro-blogging site, which started a series of lawsuits between Musk and Twitter.      Elon Musk tweeted that he was activating his broadband service Starlink after the US Treasury Department announced it was easing internet sanctions on Iran after Tehran curtailed its citizens' access to social media. The Treasury's move means that American technology companies can expand their businesses in Iran, allowing people living there to use secure platforms and services. The updated guidance authorises the companies to offer access to social media platforms, cloud-based services and online maps.

  Tesla owner and billionaire Elon Musk has denied a media report that alleged he had an affair with the wife of Google co-founder and billionaire Sergey Brin. A report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) claimed that Musk allegedly had an affair with Brin's wife, Nicole Shanahan. The report claimed that Musk and Brin were close friends until the love affair. However, Musk denied such claims. In a reply to WSJ, Musk wrote on Twitter, "This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I've only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Elon Musk Loses Fight To Delay Twitter Trial As Judge Sets October Trial

  Tesla founder and billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday lost the fight to delay the Twitter trial as the judge hearing the case set an October date for trial. A judge in the eastern US state of Delaware ruled against Musk's push for a February date for the hearing. The trial in October will decide whether Musk can be forced to complete his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter. It could be a lengthy legal fight that could end in a trial or a settlement. However, the judge did not set an exact date for the hearing. Meanwhile, Twitter lawyer William Savitt said that "the continued uncertainty caused by Musk's purported termination inflicts harm on Twitter every day, every hour of every day." Elon Musk’s Twitter Deal Moves Forward As Board Endorses Takeover

  Elon Musk is now a step closer to owning the social media platform, Twitter, as the board has endorsed the takeover. After a period of tense negotiations and concerns over bot accounts on the social media platform, Twitter’s board of directors has unanimously approved Musk’s acquisition of the micro-blogging site. Twitter filed a statement with the Securities Exchange Commission on Wednesday. The company’s board of directors encouraged shareholders to approve the acquisition in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.  With the board’s approval, the deal is expected to close in 2022. If the shareholders vote to sell the company, they will be receiving $54.20 for each share, which is a great deal. Brexit uncertainty makes Tesla opt for Germany over UK

On Tuesday, the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, announced that the company would be opening a plant near Berlin to build batteries for its electric cars to be be launched in the European Market. Musk also voiced the Brexit uncertainty as one of the key factors behind his decision to set up a plant in Germany instead of UK, which he was considering earlier. In an interview with a trade magazine, Auto Express , Musk said that uncertainty over Britain’s decision to exit or be a part of the European Union “ made it too risky” for the company to establish it Gigafactory there.
