Elon Musk Reacts To Report Of Affair With Google Co-Founder's Wife

Tesla - Elon Musk - Sergey Brin

Tesla owner and billionaire Elon Musk has denied a media report that alleged he had an affair with the wife of Google co-founder and billionaire Sergey Brin.

A report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) claimed that Musk allegedly had an affair with Brin's wife, Nicole Shanahan. The report claimed that Musk and Brin were close friends until the love affair. However, Musk denied such claims. In a reply to WSJ, Musk wrote on Twitter, "This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I've only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.”

Reportedly, Brin was among the first people to be given a Tesla car when production of the car started. In 2008, Google co-founder gave Musk $500,000 to keep Tesla afloat during the global recession caused by the United States subprime mortgage crisis.

The alleged affair came several months after Musk had broken up with his girlfriend, Canadian singer Grimes, with whom he shares two children. They had their second child via surrogacy.

A few weeks ago, several reports surfaced online that said Musk had twins with one of his top executives named Shivon Zilis last year. Musk also shares another five children with his ex-wife and the Canadian author, Justine Wilson.

Elon Musk vs Twitter

Elon Musk is currently locked in a legal battle with Twitter after he dropped a bid to buy the social media company. He recently lost the fight to delay the Twitter trial as the judge hearing the case in the eastern US state of Delaware set an October date for trial.

Earlier, Musk had made a hostile bid to take over Twitter for a $44 billion deal. However, he backed away from the deal because the stocks of Twitter tumbled. He also had concerns regarding bot accounts.
