MoHAP, GAIAE initiate online Hajj permit on Al Hosn App

MoHAP - online Hajj permit - Al Hosn App

In collaboration with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Al Hosn National Health System, which is a part of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), has established an online Hajj permit service on Al Hosn App (GAIAE).

The program intends to streamline Hajj procedures, conserve pilgrims' time and energy, and increase their faith in the effectiveness and advancement of domestic medical practices. By converting from paper to digital versions of permits, it also aids the ongoing efforts of the two organizations to quicken their digital transformation.

Al Hosn National Health System stated, "Offering the online Hajj permit via the Al Hosn App will strengthen our efforts to protect all members of the UAE's Hajj mission and is in line with health standards and preventive measures established by the UAE for the Hajj season (1443 AH - 2022)."

The MoHAP emphasized that the online Hajj permit service will strengthen the UAE's ability to deal with pandemics within a record amount of time, treat any emerging mutations, protect public health, and add to the nation's accomplishments made on the route to recovering from the pandemic.

In cooperation with other national health authorities, the ministry claims that all optional and required vaccinations for pilgrims are now available at health centers. In order to guarantee pilgrims' health and safety as they perform the Hajj and to protect them from all health dangers and infectious diseases, the ministry said that it was committed to providing the greatest medical and regulatory services in accordance with the standards.

Any person departing the country for Hajj must obtain an electronic Hajj permit, according to Al-Hosn System, even if they have gotten two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and a booster shot. Everyone who wishes to perform the Hajj must follow a number of steps and mechanisms in order to receive the "Green Pass," which enables them to travel securely, it continued.

For individuals who want to perform the Hajj and for the permit to be provided automatically on the Al-Hosn application, Al Hosn System has stipulated four required actions: A negative PCR test no later than 72 hours prior to the date of travel; certificates proving receipt of the meningitis vaccine (mandatory) and seasonal influenza and pneumococcal vaccines (optional) from a health facility approved by MoHAP and health authorities; in addition to "attaching a report on the clinical condition of the person wishing to travel (fit) from the authorized health authorities; and finally, linking a travel permit for the Hajj."

According to Al-Hosn System, after completing the four procedures, pilgrims who obtained the full COVID-19 immunization doses and its booster doses would be given an electronic Hajj permission on the Al-Hosn app.

Additionally, it has been stated that the "electronic Hajj permit" will appear in red if the (PCR) test is positive and grey if the following conditions are met: (1) "the PCR test expires 72 hours before travel; (2) required vaccinations are not received; (3) the medical report is not obtained; or (4) if the Hajj travel approval is not obtained from the competent authorities."

The system advised users to call 8004676 or info@alhosnapp.ae if they have any issues or concerns about the electronic Hajj permit.

They can also get in touch with the Ministry of Health and Prevention by dialing the toll-free number 80011111, or they can email hajj@awqaf.gov.ae  or phone the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf) at 80029723.
