The UAE to host the Miss World 2023

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is scheduled to host the Miss World for the first time. Miss World Limited chairperson Julia Morley made the special announcement on Instagram.

Miss World 2023 will take place in the UAE. However, Miss World Limited is yet to announce the venue details. For the first time, Miss World is coming to the Middle East.

Morley wrote on Instagram, “I am delighted to announce the 71st Miss World Festival will be held in…THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.” Reportedly, the decision to host the 71st beauty pageant in the Emirates made everyone happy.

During the 71st edition of the Miss World pageant, Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor. Karolina Bielawska was crowned Miss World in March 2022 in Puerto Rico. The Miss World 2022 title is currently held by Karolina Bielawska. She became the second Polish beauty queen to win the prestigious title.

Women who want to participate in the competition must be unmarried, without children and between the ages of 17 and 27. They must be a resident of the country they represent.

Miss World was launched in 1951 by Eric Morley, a British TV host. The event was launched to empower women of all backgrounds. His wife, Julia Morley, is now head of the prestigious beauty pageant.

India and Venezuela have produced the most Miss World winners. The two countries have had six Miss World winners.

From India, Reita Faria Powell won the Miss World title in 1966, Aishwarya Rai won the title in 1994, Diana Hayden won the title in 1997, Yukta Mookhey won the title in 1999, Priyanka Chopra won the title in 2000, and Manushi Chhillar won the title in 2017.

From Venezuela, Carmen Susana Duijm Zubillaga won the title in 1955, Pilín León won the title in 1981, Astrid Carolina Herrera won the title in 1984, Ninibeth Beatriz Leal Jiménez was crowned Miss World in 1991, Jacqueline María Aguilera Marcano won the title in 1995 and Ivian Sarcos won the title in 2011.
