In the era of the digital world, children's safety on the internet has become a critical issue. With the growing use of smartphones and other devices, children are more exposed than ever before to the dangers of the internet. In recognition of this, the Emirates Safer Internet Society, under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, has organized the first international conference on "Children's Well-Being in the Digital World" to discuss the protection and safety of Emirati children from the dangers of using the internet and smart devices.

The conference focuses on three key axes: the safety of children in the digital world, the well-being of children and families in the digital world, and the role of participation and civil partnerships in promoting digital well-being. These axes highlight the importance of collaboration between various parties in creating a responsible and conscious digital society. The conference aims to anticipate a safe digital future and positive citizenship to enhance the quality of digital safety for children and prepare a generation qualified to deal responsibly and consciously in the digital world.

The inaugural speech of Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, highlighting the Cyber Security Council's contribution to protecting society and supporting the Emirates Internet Society's direction, emphasizes the council's commitment to ensuring a secure future for all segments of society by protecting Emirati children from the dangers of the internet and smart devices. It is crucial to protect the younger generation's online safety and promote digital citizenship, as they are the future leaders of the nation.

Kudos to the Emirates Safer Internet Society and all the participants of eSafe for recognizing the need to prioritize children's digital safety and well-being. The conference is a crucial step towards safeguarding our children's online safety and promoting digital citizenship. It is only through collaboration and partnerships that we can create a responsible and conscious digital society that prioritizes the well-being of our children in the digital world.
