UAE assures covid vaccine to family of the martyrs.

In a latest development, UAE’s martyr’s office has decided to launch a nationwide campaign to ensure that family members of the servicemen killed in the country in the line of duty, receive Covid-19 vaccine. 

The news was confirmed by the Martyrs' Families Affairs Office who will also be overseeing the execution of this initiative in partnership with the emirate's Department of Health. The Executive Director of the office, Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon, said that through this project, the United Arab Emirates aims to serve the people who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty.

While talking about this initiative he also appreciated the efforts made by the United Arab Emirate’s health sector in controlling the coronavirus pandemic. The families who have been promised of help also thanked the office for its continued assistance.

The coronavirus vaccine is going through phase three of trial in the Emirate and the latest person to have received the vaccine the Cabinet Minister Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak this week. The state news agency WAM also released pictures of the minister receiving the vaccine on Wednesday. 

So far the vaccine has only been made available to frontline workers, senior officials and a few cabinet ministers. The process of functioning of this vaccine is done by giving two shots of the dosage but there should be a long interval before the second shot. 

The vaccination was extended to Bahrain and Jordan after it was tested on 31,000 volunteers where they received the shots to create resistance to the virus. 

It was only last week when Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior received the vaccine and also posted a picture of the hospital in social media. Through his social media handle, the minister thanked the medical staff and wished for everyone to be safe.
