How is the UAE stepping up its efforts to help Afghani people?


 

Afghani population is in desperate need for help after sudden evacuation from their homeland due to Taliban takeover and at such a crucial stage, the United Arab Emirates has stepped up to help the people and provide them with all the necessary assistance required for their survival.

After the passing of orders by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has begun hosting many Afghan families which includes women and children. The deputy supreme commander of the UAE also stressed that all the things needed to provide for them must be taken.

The crown prince has time and again stressed that these families and their needs must be catered at all times and their dignity should be kept intact. This initiative is not the only thing that is being provided by the UAE.

The leadership of the Arab country had also announced continuous support to Afghani people through facilitation of flights for different nations struggling to carry out a safe evacuation from Kabul airport. The UAE has evacuated many Afghans till now. As per a report 39,827 Afghans and foreign nationals from Afghanistan using its national aircraft and airports.

The UAE might not have been physically involved in Afghanistan but it has done tremendous help to the country by building various facilities for the development of the people as well as the country. The UAE leadership has been actively promoting global cooperation and solidarity in the time of crisis under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

The country has contributed to the development of the war torn country in a huge way. It has built dozens of schools in Afghanistan, along with nearly six fully equipped medical centres and also provides for 6,500 students annually. It was still funding a lot of facilities in the country aimed at making the lifestyles of people easier ahead of the Taliban takeover.

Following the footsteps of its founding father Sheikh Zayed, the UAE is continuing to keep up the efforts to help its neighbouring countries during the crisis times. Even during the pandemic, the country had made sure to cater to the needs of other countries who were struggling to curb coronavirus pandemic in their nation.
