UAE providing social care for Afghan families under Mohamed bin Zayed's directives
Under the directives of His Highness
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the UAE has begun hosting Afghan
families, especially women and children, and will take all necessary measures
to provide them with care and social support while on UAE soil.
The UAE has facilitated the evacuation of approximately
39,827 Afghans and foreign nationals from Afghanistan using its national
aircraft and airports.
Humanitarian aid has been an integral and strategically
formulated component of the country and is deeply rooted in the foundation
of the state and the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan who
founded the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works in Abu Dhabi.
The generosity of the
UAE in facilitating flights in and out of Kabul, to hosting Afghans and foreign
nationals is really commendable and shows how UAE is one with Afghanistan and
with the world.
