Abu Dhabi: Positive coronavirus cases remain under one percent.

One of the emirates and capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, has continued to keep its low percentage of positive covid-19 cases.

Experts have time and again credited the UAE taking strict actions against those flouting rules that ensure safer movement within the community as one the most important reason why the Emirati capital managed to fare this good in controlling the increasing number of covid-19 cases.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office also confirmed the improved performance of the country in fighting this battle against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and tweeted, “Abu Dhabi's Emergency, Crisis & Disaster Committee announced the National Screening Programme and other testing initiatives continue to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the emirate, through mass testing and providing free tests for all segments of society.”

The media office praised the efforts taken by the officials and one of the major one being free tests that helped identify many cases and gave an opportunity to people who could not afford the test but were suspicious of contracting the virus.

On November 11, the media office confirmed through twitter saying that the percentage of confirmed cases per total tests conducted in Abu Dhabi in the last three months have remained below 0.39%.

They further assured that the committee, the department of Health and other authorities will continue to keep up their efforts  and will keep on providing testing for all by applying the highest precautionary and preventive measures.

Earlier the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster committee of Abu Dhabi had announced that the national screening programme and other initiatives related to testings will continue to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the emirate. These tests are not limited in any form and are a part of mass testing which is free for all segments of the society.

The statement added that the key to keeping the percentage low is adhering to all the preventive measures and the community has managed to do this. The mass testing programme was started in the month of April which was only the second month since the lockdown was announced.
