UAE remembers the fallen heroes as it marks its Commemoration Day.

On its Commemoration Day, the United Arab Emirates remembers those heroes who have sacrificed their life fighting for the citizens and their country.

November 30 is remembered as Martyr's Day. There will be both a public and an official commemoration of the fallen heroes today. Every year, on this day, the country’s top officials and people remember the martyr’s who have sacrificed their lives for their dedication towards the UAE.

Like every year, the UAE pasode homage to them and people expressed their gratitude and respect to the heroes who lived for their country. The emirati nation has time and again shown respect to the army personnels who have lost their lives. This is one such event that recognises their sacrifice.

The UAE government ensures that families of these heroes are always taken care of. Be it the government or non-government organisations, everyone is included in the activities that take place on this special day. The UAE nationals and expatriates also participate in these activities to express their dedication of preserving their legacy.

In the list of programmes and opportunities that the UAE government has created for the families of these martyr’s is the availability of Covid-19 vaccine. Earlier last month, the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi cooperated with the Martyr’s Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court to launch a campaign that ensured vaccination for the families of the martyr’s.

A campaign was also launched under #UAEispriundofyou for every section of the society to show their appreciation for their brave act and be able to express their pride for the martyr’s sacrifice. This campaign consisted of programmes specifically made for children who drew portraits that showed the martyr’s sacrifice.

Other than that, the UAE is also making sure that the families of these heroes are living a dignified life. For this, the country started with a four point programme beginning with ensuring family’s stability by launching housing programs. This is followed by initiatives that provide educational services for the children of those who sacrificed their lives.

Apart from that, the comprehensive steps taken toward the family member include healthcare services and also implementing a system of social support for them.

For people to be well aware of what the people have suffered for them to live peacefully, the National Archives also announced the establishment of Martyr’s Archive. A museum will also be created which will be dedicated to the martyrs where each martyr’s sacrifice will be documented.
