UAE President, King of Bahrain ponder bilateral relations and cooperation
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain spoke about the strong links that exist between their nations and methods to strengthen and broaden their collaboration in order to serve their shared interests.
The UAE's success and prosperity were wished
for by King Hamad as he welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and wished him continued health
and happiness.
The two presidents' courteous discussions
throughout the meeting underscored the long-standing ties between the UAE and
the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the shared desire to support those nations
in meeting their objectives for further growth.
The UAE President gushed about meeting King
Hamad and visiting Bahrain, highlighting the close links that exist between the
two nations and their desire to deepen and expand those ties in a variety of
ways.
The King of Bahrain, for his part, expressed
his delight in the close historical ties between the UAE and Bahrain as well as
in the sophisticated bilateral cooperation and coordination they accomplished
in all disciplines, which promote prosperity for the benefit of their
respective nations and peoples.
The delegation of the UAE President, which
included Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of the Presidential Court
and Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the
Presidential Court Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Minister of
State for Defence Affairs Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, and Minister of
Interior Khalifa Shaheen.
The Bahrain International Airshow 2022, which
is being held at the Sakhir Airbase and is marking its tenth anniversary, was
also toured by Sheikh Mohamed and King Hamad.
The UAE President received a briefing on the
most recent advancements in Bahrain's civil and military aviation sector in
terms of cutting-edge systems, technology, and solutions during the tour.
Additionally, he engaged in conversation with
the attendees, listening to their justifications for their most significant
efforts and inventions while wishing them well in their participation.
Sheikh Mohamed appreciated Bahrain's level of
organisation for the air show and wished Bahrain luck in its noteworthy initiatives
to strengthen its status as a top-tier host of significant international
events.
The final phase of the joint Emirati-Bahraini
military anti-terrorism exercise known as "Jelmoud 3" was also
attended by Sheikh Mohamed and King Hamad.
As part of the strong cooperation between the
two nations, the UAE Armed Forces and the Royal Guard, a unit of the Bahrain
Defense Force, together with a number of other defence force units and
Bahrain's Ministry of Interior and National Security Agency, participated in
the three-day exercise.
Prior to the exercise, the two nations signed
a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was presented by Major General
Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad and Lt. General Eng. Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei,
Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his delight in
participating in the activity, which showcased the participants' talents and
skills.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of
Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well as a number of sheikhs welcomed
the UAE President when he landed at the Sakhir Airbase airport earlier on
Thursday.
