A Taliban Transport Ministry spokesman also confirmed that an aviation security contract had already been signed with the UAE. Under the deal with the UAE, Afghanistan citizens will be employed at the airports, including in security roles. This is crucial for the Taliban regime which wants to show they can create jobs for Afghanistan citizens.   According to BBC News, the UK Defense Ministry has pledged to undertake an impartial investigation into how it handled allegations that the country's elite Special Air Service murdered unarmed civilians during the war in Afghanistan .   Court documents in a complaint launched against Defense Minister Ben Wallace imply that the ministry's initial inquiry, conducted by the Royal Military Police, had serious problems.   The RMP looked into claims that 54 Afghans were wrongfully executed by a single SAS unit between 2010 and 2011. Documents, however, reveal that Brig. David Neal, the senior officer in charge of the RMP investigation, was believed to have tried to stifle inquiries.   According to reports, Neal was a "close friend" of the SAS officer in charge of the subject unit. UAE Introduces New Gold Import Regulations To Prevent Money Laundering

  In an exceptional move to stop money laundering and the financing of terrorism , the UAE has now decided to introduce a new set of regulations on gold imports. This will also prevent organisations from indulging in these activities. These were announced formally by the Ministry of Economy recently and remain as the latest move in the series of initiatives by Emirates to enhance oversight of the trade and circulation of gold in line with international standards. The new regulations will expect regulated businesses to comply with these new rules. Those found in breach of the regulations face fines in the range of Dh50,000 to Dh5 million ($13,623 to $1.36m). The country had already unveiled UAE Good Delivery Standard for Gold in November 2021. Saudi Airlines cancels free 'luggage first' service during Hajj

  The free "luggage first" step of Saudi Airlines' departure process for pilgrims who completed the Hajj on Thursday has started.   In collaboration with Jeddah Management Company, the first-of-its-kind transportation service was operated last month. 24 hours prior to the trip, the service picked up the pilgrim's luggage from their lodging in Jeddah, Makkah, or Madinah, transported it to the airport , and checked it in on their behalf.   During a visit to JMC's luggage scanning facilities, Hani Al-Hitairshi, general manager of Saudi Airlines' domestic stations, spoke with the media.
