When India plays Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday to open their Asia Cup 2022 campaign, Virat Kohli will become the first Indian player to play 100 T20 international matches.

Additionally, Kohli will become the first player ever to represent India in 100 games across all formats of the game. Virat's ability to represent the country in 100 matches in each format since making his international debut in 2008 is proof of his tenacity in the game, consistency, and the unwavering faith his side has shown in him despite many ups and downs in his remarkable career.

Virat has participated in 99 T20I games for Team India so far, accumulating 3,308 runs at an average of 50.12. His best personal score for India is 94, and he has 30 half-centuries in this format.

Between 2017 and 2021, this exceptional batter captained his team in 50 games. He has won 30, lost 16, and tied four of these 50 games. Two games have ended in ties, while two more have resulted in draws. He captained in this manner, and he had a dominant 64.58 win %.

When Kohli enters the field, he will be focused on defeating Pakistan and delivering the game-winning blow. The last time these two fierce rivals squared off in a T20I match (and generally), India lost by a disgraceful margin of 10 wickets. When India reached 151/7 in their 20 overs in that match because to Kohli's 57 off 49, Pakistan's opening duo of Mohammed Rizwan (79*) and Babar Azam (68*) easily overpowered Kohli's team.

Everyone will be watching to see if this star batter can regain his form with a game-winning shot and potentially hit his long-awaited 71st century in international competition. He has not recorded a century for more than a thousand days.

Kohli has played a total of 27 T20Is since his most recent international century in November 2019, accumulating 858 runs at an average of 42.90 for a total of 27 hundreds. His top score in this format is 94*. He has struck eight half-centuries since his last century in this method.

He has participated in 68 international contests in all formats since his previous international century, scoring 2,554 runs in 82 innings at an average of 34.05. He has hit 24 half-centuries in all formats.
