World Refugee Day: humanitarian assistance to Burkina Faso

Delivery of urgent humanitarian assistance made possible through World Refugee Day.


It was after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai ordered an aid flight to support the delivery.


Recently, UNHCR declared an emergency in the Central Sahel Region for the protection and assistance of more than 600,000 internally displaced people, a number that is at risk of growing significantly in the coming weeks.


Humanitarian aid includes 88% core relief items and 12% covid19 aid which was supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) 


This measure will be remembered as a valuing move of the government to provide and protect its people amidst natural disasters.
